Sheila Masinde

Executive Director
Sheila Masinde has over 19 years work experience in anti-corruption, governance, programme management, media and outreach. She served as Programmes Manager/Head of Programmes between 2015 and 2020. She joined TI-Kenya in 2014, as Research and Learning Manager, from BBC Media Action (British Broadcasting Corporation’s international development charity) where she was the Communications and Training Manager from 2012 to 2014. She first worked for Transparency International Kenya from 2009 to 2012 as the Advocacy and Communications Programme Officer. She has also worked at the Nation Media Group from 2006 to 2009 as a radio news presenter and online sub-editor, and I Choose Life Africa as Programme Trainer and Assistant Programme Manager working in Public Relations, Outreach and Monitoring and Evaluation departments between 2003 and 2006. She studied in Kenyatta University and the School of Journalism and has served on the boards of I Choose Life Africa and Elimu Yetu Coalition.

Gibson Mwaita

Programmes Manager
Gibson is a dynamic professional with a diverse range of skills in Project and Program Management, program financing, knowledge & talent management, team development, and resource mobilization. He has experience in implementing and managing different projects and programmes in Kenya, East Africa and Africa; funded by bilateral and multilateral donors. In his role he is responsible for the leadership and day to day management and development of programmes towards achieving the TI-Kenya’s strategic plan. Gibson holds a Bachelor of Education from Egerton University, A Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management, and is a globally certified Project Management Professional (PMP®).

Angela Kanja

Operations, People and Culture Manager
Angela is a dynamic professional with a diverse range of experience and skills in Human Resource Management. She is Certified by the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and holds a higher diploma in HR management from the same institution. She holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Kiriri Women’s University and is currently undertaking a Master of Science in Human Resource Management at Kenyatta University.

Elizabeth Duya

Program Coordinator - Citizen Demand and Oversight
Elizabeth is an advocate of the High court of Kenya and Uganda. She has over 7 years’ experience in project management and planning and budget advocacy. She has previously interned at the Commission on Administrative Justice and a private law firm in Kisumu. She is passionate on matters pertaining to women empowerment and the promotion of Gender Equity.

Titus Gitonga

Programme Coordinator - Public Finance Management and National Resources and Climate Governance
Titus Gitonga is an experienced and innovative lawyer with a passion and dedication to good governance and human rights advocacy. He has over 8 years’ of experience in governance work. He first joined TI-Kenya as a legal intern between September 2013 – February 2014 and has subsequently served the organization in various capacities, including as a volunteer lawyer and consultant. He has also previously worked in private legal practice at Nyarango & Company Advocates and organizations such as Kituo cha Sheria, Kenya Water and Sanitation CSOs Network (KEWASNET) and the Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA-Kenya). He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Kenyatta University and has completed his Professional Diploma at the Kenya School of Law.

Dorothy Okeyo

Finance Officer
Dorothy Okeyo is a proactive professional with a diverse range of experience and skills in financial reporting, reconciliations, budget preparation and monitoring, accounts payables and receivables management, procurement, financial donor reports, raising LPOs, invoices, journals and filing. Dorothy holds a Bachelor’s degree in – Finance and Banking and CPAK certificate

Caroline Maina

Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator
Caroline is a dynamic PMERLA professional with over 8 years of progressive experience and skills in planning, monitoring, and evaluation, research, reporting, learning, quality assurance and resource mobilisation. Passionate on PMERLA, she has a profound commitment on enhancing program effectiveness and sustainable impact through rigorous data-driven insights for evidence-based decision making. In TI-Kenya, she is responsible for Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Reporting, Learning and Adapting (PMERLA) processes and quality assurance ensuring TI-Kenya remains progressive in achieving its Strategic Plan. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Planning from the University or Nairobi, certification in Monitoring and Evaluation from the AMREF International University and is currently pursuing her masters in Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of Nairobi.

Jennifer Kamande

Finance and Investment Manager
Jeniffer is a dynamic professional with a diverse range of experience and skills in strategic financial management, investments oversight, budgeting, donor-funded programmes, audit and risk management, procurement, and resource mobilization. Her career reflects a strong balance between strategic leadership and hands on execution, with a proven ability to steward complex portfolios, strengthen financial systems and support organizational sustainability.

Jane Kingori

Projects and Grants Finance Officer
Jane is a finance and grants specialist with a Master of Science in Organizational Development, Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and CPA (K). She has over 15 years’ of experience in strengthening organizations ‘capacities for sustainable program delivery through integration of best grants and financial management practices and compliance with different donor rules and regulations including DANIDA, GCERF, SIDA and EU among others. She has served as the grants management technical lead at Faith To Action Network and Act Change Transform.

Brian Ekodere

Project Officer - ALAC Western Region
Brian Ekodere is a lawyer with a passion for legal systems, social justice, governance, human rights, and dispute resolution. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Kenyatta University and a Diploma in International Studies from the University of Nairobi. Brian has extensive experience in legal research, advocacy, and youth empowerment. Brian is dedicated to fostering a just and equitable society by promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance.

John Kiama Ngari

Research And Learning Officer
John Kiama Ngari is a dynamic professional with a diverse range of experience and skills in designing, implementing, and evaluating research; Supporting research-related grant writing; analyzing, summarizing and organizing collected data contributing to published reports and peer-reviewed articles. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science with I.T from Maseno University and a Masters in Development Studies from Catholic University.

Thomas Juma

Project Assistant, North-Rift Region
Thomas is a dynamic professional with a wide range of experience and skills in community mobilization, capacity development in governance, media engagement, networking and partnership development. Juma is responsible for offering support to the North Rift Regional Office to ensure successful implementation of the projects and assisting in logistical tasks, data collection and documentation. Thomas holds a diploma in public relations, marketing and advertising from ICS college, diploma in project planning and NGO management from Cambridge universal college and diploma in film and television production from Alphax college.

Diana Mwanzia

Legal Officer
Diana Mwanzia is an experienced Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a passion and dedication to human rights, policy advocacy and social change. She has worked with organizations such as Collaborative Centre for Gender and Development, East Africa Civil Society Organizations Forum-Kenya Chapter, Kituo cha Sheria and Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA-Kenya). In TI-Kenya, she is responsible for supporting all aspects of legal matters, public interest litigation coordination, legislative drafting, and strategic advocacy initiatives. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Kenyatta University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and is currently pursuing Certified Secretaries (CS) course (Advanced Level).

Samuel Komu

Project Officer - ALAC Coast Region
Samuel is a lawyer by profession with a passion for advocacy, human rights and community engagement. He was previously a volunteer with the Advocacy and Legal Advisory Center. Samuel has also been involved in social accountability initiatives such as social audits and budget tracking in the health and education sector aimed at influencing policies. Prior to joining TI-Kenya, he consulted with Kenya Water and Sanitation Network on governance issues in Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) & Water Resources Management (WRM) sector, civil society networking and use of Integrated Quality and Compliance system in project monitoring and evaluation.

Ronald Adika

Project Assistant, Western Region
Ronald Adika is an experienced professional with over 2 years of experience, in advocating for good governance, with a strong commitment to social justice and expertise in inclusive governance. He has actively engaged with stakeholders, conducted research in budget advocacy and Public Finance Management and proposed policy recommendations to address systematic barriers faced by the marginalized in participating in the country’s governance processes. In addition, he has organized capacity-building initiatives and collaborated with diverse stakeholders to influence policy reforms.Ronald holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with IT from Maseno University.

Samuel Ogeda

Business Development Coordinator
Samuel has a core business approach to drive sustainable impacts for both positive, commercial and social outcomes. Prior to joining TI-Kenya, he was a team leader for the business development function at Zeneth Africa Consulting and also led business development initiatives and supported capacity-strengthening programs at Pan African Institute of Management & Governance, and at Coca-Cola Beverages of Africa as a Resident Account Developer. Samuel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a major in Marketing from Moi University coupled with a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the College of Human Resource Management and an Associate Member of IHRMK.

Andrew Letting

Project Officer - Natural Resources & Climate Governance
Andrew Letting is an enthusiastic Environmentalist with a diverse range of experience and skills in Climate Finance, Climate Diplomacy, and Natural Resources Management across both private and public sectors. He currently works as a Project Officer in Climate Governance at Transparency International Kenya. His past roles include research in Climate Finance and work in Ecological Restoration . Andrew holds a BSc in Natural Resources Management and is a certified Associate Expert in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA).

Lillian Gathua

Project Officer - Citizen Demand and Oversight
Lilian Gathua is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Secretary with extensive experience in legal consultation, litigation, legal and legislative drafting, project management and partnerships development. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya. She has experience working in both public and private sectors and has previously worked at Kiruki & Kayika Advocates and Murang’a County Assembly. She has also been a legal volunteer at Nafisika Trust. She is passionate about constitutionalism, good governance, rule of law, human rights and access to justice.

Shirley Wangusi

Project Assistant - ALAC Nairobi Region
Shirley Wangusi is an agile professional with a diverse range of experience and skills in legal research, policy analysis, advocacy and project management and has contributed in legal reform, capacity building and community empowerment initiatives across Africa. Shirley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Strathmore University and a Diploma in Advocates Training Program from the Kenya School of Law. She is currently pursuing a Master of Laws at the University of Nairobi and has also obtained certification in Data Protection from Strathmore University.

Anne Mwangi

ICT Officer
Anne is a dynamic professional with a diverse range of experience and skills in Administration and ICT Function. Anne holds a Bachelor of Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology and she is currently pursuing certificate in Human Resource professional.

Emily Atieno

Procurement Officer
Emily is a dynamic professional with a diverse range of experience and skills in asset management, vendor relations, process improvement, event management, procurement process and procedures, admin management, communication and interpersonal skills. In her role, she is responsible for all the procurement processes and procedures towards achieving the TI-Kenya’s strategic plan. Emily holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Africa Nazarene University. She is also a holder of certificate in facilitation skills and Diploma in Business Management.

James Kinyua

Project Officer - Public Finance Management
James Kinyua is a dynamic professional with over 7 years of professional experience having worked with renown institutions in Kenya such as the Ministry of Finance at the County Government of Kirinyaga, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), the National Democratic Institute (NDI) For International Affairs, and Parliament of Kenya prior to joining TI-Kenya. James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, double major in Economics, Political Science and Public Administration; a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management; and currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration all from and at the University of Nairobi.

Lucky Philomena Mbaye

Project Assistant - Citizen Demand and Oversight
Philomena is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She is also a Certified Professional Mediator (CPM). With a keen interest in Human Rights, Policy, Democracy, and Governance, she is deeply invested in promoting equitable legal practices and advocating for social justice. Her professional journey includes valuable experiences from (Coulson Harney LLP) Bowmans Law and ENS Africa, where she developed a solid understanding of legal intricacies and demonstrated proficiency in navigating complex legal landscapes. Beyond her legal pursuits, Philomena actively engages in community service through volunteer work with local CSOs, aiming to extend her impact beyond the legal sphere and contribute meaningfully to societal progress.

Judy Njeri Wangari

Communications & Advocacy Officer
Judy Njeri Wangari is a innovative professional with a diverse range of experience and skills in writing, strategic digital communications, media & public relations, content marketing and public speaking. Njeri has over 20 years’ experience in Communications Planning and Strategy, Media Relations, Web and Social Media Advocacy, External relationships, Budget Management & Fundraising and Program Support.

Moses Maronga

Intern - Citizen, Demand & Oversight
Moses is a dynamic professional with a diverse range of experience and skills in legal research, community mobilization, and data-driven advocacy. He brings a strong background in coordinating multi-stakeholder partnerships, having successfully organized national legal competitions and high-impact community forums involving the Judiciary, Law Society of Kenya, and civil society partners. In his new role, he will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the Citizen Demand and Oversight Programme. He will assist in empowering citizens to demand accountability, conducting social audits, organizing community engagement forums, and documenting program impact to strengthen transparency and good governance in Kenya. Moses holds a Bachelor’s degree in Laws (LL.B.) from Kenyatta University, with a focus on Public International Law, Human Rights, Governance and Administrative Law

Administration Officer
Wycliffe Asiago has over 10 years experience in the corporate sector, the most recent being Viscar Industrial capacity limited where he served as a logistics coordinator. He plans in conjunction with the administrator to facilitate all logistical activities and any other functions assigned for TI Kenya. He holds a certificate in Food Production from Institute of Commercial Management (ICM).

Nicholas Kiarie

Communications & Advocacy Assistant
Nicholas Kiarie is an innovative professional with a diverse range of expertise and skills in photography, videography, graphic design, event management, project management as well as data analytics and is responsible for supporting all aspects of communications support. Nicholas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications and Management from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

Moses Maronga

Intern - Citizen Demand and Oversight

Moses is a dynamic professional with a diverse range of experience and skills in legal research, community mobilization, and data-driven advocacy. He brings a strong background in coordinating multi-stakeholder partnerships, having successfully organized national legal competitions and high-impact community forums involving the Judiciary, Law Society of Kenya, and civil society partners. He is proficient in utilizing data analysis tools to track justice trends and inform programmatic interventions

 In his new role, he will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the Citizen Demand and Oversight Programme. He will assist in empowering citizens to demand accountability, conducting social audits, organizing community engagement forums, and documenting program impact to strengthen transparency and good governance in Kenya.

Devaline Rioba Marita

Legal Intern

Devaline is a dynamic law student with a diverse range of experience and skills in legal research, legal analysis, legal drafting, advocacy and client management.

In his new role, he will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Strengthening Capacities of Local Civil Societies to Fight Corruption; Tupigane na Ufisadi (TUNU) PROJECT; to ensure successful implementation of the project deliverables on digital technologies and assisting in manning of the digital platforms, complaints reception and handling, data collection and analytics, reporting and documentation

Devaline is set to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in laws (LLB) from the University of Nairobi on 13/12/2024. Prior to joining Transparency International, Devaline has worked at Rabala and Company Advocates, The Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration, The Refugee Consortium of Kenya and First Assurance Company.

Diana Mwanzia

Diana Mwanzia is an experienced Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a passion and dedication to human rights, policy advocacy and social change. James Kinyua

Project Officer, Public Finance Management

James Kinyua is a dynamic professional with a diverse range of experience and skills on matters economics, governance, public administration and project management. Andrew Letting is an enthusiastic Environmentalist with a diverse range of experience and skills in Climate Finance, Climate Diplomacy, and Natural Resources Management across both private and public sectors. He currently works as a Project Assistant in Climate Governance at Transparency International Kenya. His past roles include research in Climate Finance and work in Ecological Restoration . Andrew holds a BSc in Natural Resources Management and is a certified Associate Expert in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA).
